By Michelle Ndaga

The National Police Service (NPS) on Friday evening received the body of the late Corporal Kennedy Mutuku Nzuve at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), marking a solemn moment for the police fraternity and his family.

The late officer, who was serving with the Multinational Security Support Mission (MSSM) in Haiti, died in a road traffic accident on September 1, 2025.

His remains arrived in Nairobi on September 26, 2025, where they were received by the Commandant of the National Police College Embakasi ‘A’ Campus, Mr. Isaac Alimaa, SAIG, alongside senior officers, colleagues, and his family led by his mother, Mrs. Serah Nzuve.

In a statement, the NPS expressed its deepest condolences to the bereaved family, friends, and colleagues, assuring them of full support during this period of grief. “We stand in solidarity with the family of Corporal Nzuve as we mourn the loss of a dedicated officer who died in the line of duty,” the Service noted.

After the reception, the body was transferred to Chiromo Mortuary for preservation. The NPS indicated that burial arrangements will be communicated in due course.

Corporal Nzuve’s passing has been described as a great loss not only to his family but also to the Service and the country, given his commitment to international peacekeeping efforts.
