NPSC Announces Changes to the Nationwide Police Recruitment

The National Police Service Commission (NPSC) has made additions and corrections to an initial notice regarding recruitment centres and applications for Police Constables.

In a notice dated September 30, the Commission advised applicants to take note of the changes when filling out the downloaded and printed application form.

“The National Police Service Commission advertised for recruitment of Police Constables on 19th September 2025 in the Daily Nation and on 20th September 2025 in the Standard Newspaper, inviting applications for recruitment of Police Constables into the National Police Service,” the notice read.

It added: “The National Police Service Commission wishes to inform the public of the following clarifications, additions, and corrections to the designated recruitment centres.”

On applications, the Commission encouraged National Youth Service (NYS) graduates who meet the minimum entry requirements to apply.

However, it clarified that NYS graduates will only be recruited within their respective counties.

According to the NPSC, several recruitment centres that were inadvertently omitted from the initial advertisement have now been included.

At the same time, Kiambu’s Kabete Sub-County will host recruitment at Kirangari Vocational Training Centre.

Kilifi’s Chonyi Sub-County will now use Banda La Salama, Nzambani in Kitui County will use Chuluni DCC’s Office, Samburu in Kwale County will use Kasarani Grounds, and Chuka North in Tharaka Nithi County will use Chuka DCC Grounds.

On Wednesday, October 8, the designated centres will include Igamba Ng’ombe DCC Grounds in Tharaka Nithi County, Old Municipal Stadium in Kitui County, and the Playground next to Mwihoko Police Station in Kiambu County.

For Thursday, October 9, the centres include Marafa Polytechnic in Kilifi County, Mutitu Stadium in Kitui County, St. Lukes Boys Secondary School in Kitui County, and Pan Paper Grounds in Bungoma County.

Applicants have been advised that they may also fill, download, and print the application form using the link provided on the official website: https://npsc.go.ke.

The NPSC added that all other information contained in the earlier advertisement remains unchanged and urged applicants to take note of the changes when reporting to their centres.

To partake in the recruitment drive, applicants are required to be citizens of Kenya, hold a valid Kenyan National Identity Card and be aged between 18 and 28 years.

They are also required to have a minimum KCSE mean grade of D+ (with D+ in English or Kiswahili), be physically and medically fit, and be of good character, with no criminal record or pending criminal charges.

NPSC noted that female candidates must not be pregnant at recruitment and during the entire training period.

Interested applicants are required to download and complete the prescribed application form, which is available on npsc.go.ke, dci.go.ke, administrationpolice.go.ke, kenyapolice.go.ke, nationalpolice.go.ke, and mygov.go.ke.

Alternatively, the applicants can pick the police recruitment forms from Huduma Centres countrywide or fill out and download the application using the link, https://prs.npsc.go.ke.

Further, NPSC said applicants must present themselves at designated recruitment centers within their respective constituencies with original and copies of academic certificates and testimonials, national ID, birth certificate, and NYS discharge certificate, where applicable.
