Kenyan star Nyashinski, (Nyamari Ongegu) has lamented the harsh government policy on the entertainment and arts industry, that has made it difficult to work.
While announcing the postponement of the Made in Kenya concert, Nyashinski urged State House to consider the plight of creatives, and the events industry who are currently suffering.
” Our leaders should lay a strategy to support the events, entertainment and all other struggling sectors.”
Since the pandemic struck the country, the arts and events industry that depended on crowds and massive following were forced to adhere to strict social distancing protocols.
At the moment, bars and restaurants have been allowed to operate until 7 pm, while strict rules have been put on all social gatherings.
The Made in Kenya concert was to cater for creatives in a bid to support their craft during the pandemic period.
