Nyeri County has the highest Hustler Fund loan payback rate. Cabinet Secretary for Co-operatives and MSME Development Simon Chelugui stated.
According to Chelugui, the county leads with 76.3 percent of Sh21.2 billion in repaid loans, followed by Kiambu at 75.3 percent and Nyandarua at 74.5 percent.
Nairobi has the most members, with 2 million, and the highest repayment rate of 73.8 percent.
Laikipia has 73.6 percent, Nandi has 73.5 percent, Muranga has 73.3 percent, Embu has 73.1 percent, Uasin Gishu has 73.1 percent, and Nakuru has 72.9 percent.
Nationally, the payback rate is 69%, with the majority of borrowers being men and the majority of borrowers being youths.
So far, Sh1.5 billion has been saved out of the Sh31.5 billion disbursed, while the ministry has distributed Sh20 million to over 170,360 groups.
Nairobi County has the most registered groups, with 10,957, followed by Trans Nzoia, which has 9,792 organizations, and Meru County, which has 9,647 groups.
