Residents of Kalama, Muumandu and Kyangala, and Kola in Machakos have endorsed Waita Nzioka as their next Governor.
Led by former Kilome MP Gerald Muia, the residents said Nzioka was a down to earth leader who steered Safaricom to zizzying growth levels and steadfastly served President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Muia said he has known the Waita family for decades and Nzioka since childhood and said he had the pedigree of a national leader.
“Our son has come for our blessings. Now we give him with a clean heart. Go and congour the world” he said.
60 women groups drawn from Machakos County Constituency endorsed his candidature.
