ODM Sets New Dates For Kilifi, Mombasa Primaries

On April 8 and 9, the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) will hold its party primaries in Kilifi and Mombasa counties, respectively.

According to the party’s National Elections Board (NEB), the exercise, which had been scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, has been postponed.

“We are pleased to inform our members that the process of consensus building with respect to the positions of Governor, Senator and Woman Representative, and members of Parliament for the two counties is progressing well and the conclusion thereof shall be communicated as soon as we finalise,” ODM’s NEB Chairperson Catherine Mumma said in a statement.

Mumma also confirmed that the party’s primaries in two Turkana wards, which are set to take place on Saturday, will go ahead as planned.

Party primaries set on April 13 in Bungoma and Trans Nzoia have been temporarily postponed to allow the party to complete consultations in the two areas.
