Oilfields Engineering and Suppliers Limited has written to the National Treasury to suspend the payment of more than Ksh. 4 billion to Zakhem International Constructions Limited citing illegalities in the payment.
According to Oilfields, the payment was illegal because it was halted by a Court of competent Jurisdiction.
According to Oilfields Limited, KPC deliberately failed and omitted to inform the Parliament of the existence of mareva injunctive orders issued by the High Court in the above captioned matter on 31st August 2023 and upheld by the Court of Appeal in COACAPPL 463 of 2023 Zakhem International Construction Limited (Cyprus) vs. Oilfields Engineering & Suppliers Limited & KPC through a ruling dated 15th December 2023.
Zakheem International Construction has been in dispute with Oilfields Engineering and Supplies over the performance of a sub-contract agreement dated November 2015.
