“We have only one enemy and if we give me him a chance Kenya will die. Talks are ongoing with Azimio and Jubilee”.
These were the utterances of one Jirongo, signifying the long-overdue march to Azimio.
One Kenya Alliance may soon be joining the Azimio la Umoja movement, if the Kakamega declaration is anything to go by.
At a rally held in Kakamega, the alliance’s leaders, including Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper), Gideon Moi (KANU), Martha Karua (Narc Kenya), and Cyrus Jirongo (UDP), signified that the time had come for them to join forces with Odinga.
OKA is said to be working on a cooperation arrangement with the Jubilee party, who’s party leader has openly pledged allegiance to the Azimio train.
However, many will be seeking to understand the power sharing arrangement, given the irreducible minimums.
“We will ensure that the presidential candidate comes from our camp. We can tolerate the leaders in Jubilee and Azimio, only one leader that we cannot tolerate,” added Jirongo.
The politicians slammed Deputy President William Ruto’s character, calling him a “thief” who is unable to govern the country based on his actions under the Jubilee Administration.
“If you want change, you won’t get it if we elect politicians who take from public officials on a regular basis.” Don’t fool yourself into thinking that this country has a better thief. Is he a good thief if he gives you modest tokens when your children are out of school?” Karua added.
