Laycon who is the recent winner of big brother Naija TV went on to ask questions after the police in Uganda charge Omah Lay and two Nigerians who were set to perform in the country for a concert .
Omah Lay and Temilade Openyi and one Muyiwa Awoniyiare set to appear before a magistrate because they were being charged with negligently doing acts which were against the Covid -19 protocols
Burna Boy went on to tweet and said: “Uganda … please we need our people home and safe.”
Fire Boy DML also tweeted and said: “what is going on? Why are Omah Lay and Tems being mistreated? #freeomahlay #freeTems everyone please lets create awareness this is no longer funny! “
Laycon also tweeted and said : “wasn’t there prior publicity about the show why wasn’t it shut down before it was even held why are you arresting some particular artists that performed ,who organized the show ?”
People have gone ahead to call for Nigerian artists to boycott the MTV awards which was set to be held in Kampala Uganda in a few months
Omah Lay went on to say that Politics played part in the two being arrested. Recently an artist from Uganda one Cindy Sanyu called Omah Lay an idiot. She has received backlash from Nigerians
