The crash, which happened on October 25 at around 4 am, occurred when a Toyota Caldina saloon car rammed into an oncoming truck.

The accident was confirmed by Gilgil Sub-County police commander Winstone Wakio, who explained that the car was striving to overtake when the truck was fast-approaching.

The bodies of the deceased were moved to the Gilgil Sub-County Hospital morgue.
