On Monday, one person was killed in Kisumu as anti-government protests called by the opposition entered their second day.
The deceased was killed as anti-riot police officers engaged in running battles with the crowd in the lakeside city.
After the protesters began throwing stones at the officers, police were forced to use tear gas to disperse them.
The deceased’s body was taken to the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital Mortuary.
