One Suspect Arrested, Narcotics Recovered in Maganda, Mombasa County

Police officers in Mombasa County have arrested one suspect and recovered quantities of suspected narcotic drugs following an intelligence-led operation conducted in the Maganda area on Monday.

According to a report from Maganda Police Station, the operation targeted illegal drug distribution and illicit alcohol trade within the locality. During the raid, officers seized 32 rolls and 40 sachets of a substance suspected to be narcotics.

The suspect was immediately taken into custody and is currently being held at Maganda Police Station pending further processing and arraignment in court. Authorities indicated that the recovered substances will be forwarded to the Government Chemist for analysis to confirm their composition.

The National Police Service (NPS) lauded the efforts of the officers involved, commending their dedication to curbing the proliferation of illegal drugs and protecting communities from the harmful effects of substance abuse.

Police further reiterated their commitment to intensifying operations targeting narcotics and illicit alcohol across Mombasa County and other regions, emphasizing that such enforcement actions are crucial in safeguarding public health and maintaining law and order.
