Fake Gynecologist Soliciting For Nudes, Jailed For 40 Months

Ooi contacted the women using a fake Facebook profile, asking them to fill out surveys that included questions about their genitals and sex lives.

A man was sentenced to prison in Singapore for duping dozens of women into sending him photos of their genitalia by posing as a female gynecologist on Facebook.

On Wednesday, the High Court found Malaysian Ooi Chuen Wei, 37, guilty of “cheating by personation” and sentenced him to three years and four months in prison.

According to court documents obtained by CNN, Ooi contacted the women using a fake Facebook profile, asking them to fill out surveys that included questions about their genitals and sex lives.

Over a four-year period, he duped 38 women and received nearly 1,000 intimate photos and videos in return.

The investigation into the crime began in July of last year, when a woman became suspicious of Ooi and realized there was no such doctor.

The police then raided Ooi’s house and confiscated his electronic devices. According to court documents, he admitted to tricking the women during the police investigation.

Deputy public prosecutor R. Arvindren requested that Ooi be imprisoned for at least three years and eight months, citing the large number of victims and the length of time Ooi had been deceiving people.

“The accused carried out a well-planned scheme to satisfy his sexual desires,” Arvindren explained.

“He pretended to be a female doctor and duped several victims into sending compromising photos and videos of themselves.” “(He) has abused the public’s trust in doctors, and he has used social media to commit the crimes,” he added.
