The minority leader of the National Assembly Opiyo Wandayi has made the sensational claim that a group of tech-savvy Venezuelans are in the country.
Speaking on Thursday during an Azimio la Umoja baraza at Ufungamano Hall in Nairobi, he claimed that the Venezuelan’s mission is to tamper with the IEBC servers used during the 2022 general election.
He stated that the foreigners had been in the country for two weeks and were staying at a hotel in the City.
“We have been trailing them. They had been booked at a hotel here and when they realized we are on their track they moved,” he said.
“They were sent to tamper with the servers so that eventually when the pressure becomes too much they open it up and we find falsified records.”
The legislator stated that the individuals have already met with a former IEBC CEO and a chairman.
