PAA Sets Tough Condition For Presidential Aspirants

The Pamoja African Alliance (PAA) has continued with its call that every national leader seeking Coast votes should do it through a Memorandum and not the traditional promises that has left the region under-developed

The PAA brigade led by Magarini MP Michael Kingi told mourners during a burial in Ganda, Malindi constituency that it is through these agreements that the region can have a cake at the national level.

He said that even though President Uhuru Kenyatta is supporting ODM Presidential flag bearer Mr Raila Odinga, he did not do it as an individual but did it through his Jubilee political party.

“That is why at the Coast, we as PAA family are advocating for the same engagement. What we are saying as a party is that any leader who wants our votes will only get them through an agreement. That is what we have been advocating as PAA,” said Mr Kingi.

ODM Kilifi gubernatorial candidate Gideon Mung’aro who was also present at the burial stayed off politics but told mourners to uphold peace in the August General Election.

“I am here today to represent my ODM team in sending condolences to the family of Mzee Japhet Charo. I know it’s a political season but today I wouldn’t dwell much on this but just remember our Mzee who despite his limited education, ensured that his children went to school to get good education.

Mr Philip Charo, the son of the departed told politicians to exercise caution and desist from dividing Kenyans as election nears.

PAA woman rep aspirant Christine Zawadi also called for peaceful election adding that leaders must not divided the people but rather bring them together.
