Mount Bids Farewell To Chelsea Fans Ahead Of Man United Move

England midfielder Mason Mount has said farewell to Chelsea fans in a video posted on social media on Tuesday as he confirmed he is leaving the club, ahead of a reported move to Premier League rivals Manchester United.

United have reached an agreement to sign Mount on a five-year deal, The Athletic reported on Thursday, in a move worth £55 million plus five million pounds in add-ons, the report said.

“Given the speculation over the last six months, this may not come as a surprise to you but it doesn’t make it any easier to tell you that I’ve made the decision to leave Chelsea,” the player said in a video posted to Instagram.

“I feel you deserve more than just a written statement. So I wanted to tell you directly how grateful I’ve been for all of your support over the last 18 years.

“I know some of you won’t be happy with my decision, but it’s what is right for me at this moment in my career.”

The 24-year-old made his Chelsea debut in 2017 and has since scored 33 goals and provided 37 assists in 195 appearances in all competitions for the club.

“I joined Chelsea when I was six years old and we’ve been through a lot together,” Mount said.

“Winning the Youth Cup, my player of the year awards, the Super Cup, the Club World Cup, and, of course, the unforgettable night where we won the Champions League.

“I want to say thank you to the academy for being so influential to me from a young age. The managers I’ve worked under, the backroom staff, all of my teammates over the years who have become my brothers, and most importantly you guys.”

Last season the England international played 24 league games, scoring three goals and making two assists, but was hampered by a pelvic injury.

Arsenal Agree Deal For West Ham Midfielder Rice – Reports

Arsenal have reached an agreement to sign West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice in a deal worth over 100 million pounds ($127 million), British media reported.

The 24-year-old England international had received permission to undergo a medical this week ahead of his move across London, the Guardian said.

The report added that West Ham had accepted an offer worth 100 million pounds plus 5 million in add-ons, with the guaranteed portion of the fee expected to be paid in three installments over two years.

Reuters has contacted both clubs for a comment.

West Ham chairman David Sullivan said last month that a gentleman’s agreement meant Rice can leave despite a year remaining on his contract with the option to extend it by a further 12 months.

Rice joined West Ham’s academy from Chelsea as a teenager and has been a mainstay since his breakthrough campaign in 2017-18. He has played over 200 games for the club and helped them win the Europa Conference League last month.

According to police reports, four people were confirmed dead and eight others are fighting for their lives in various Migori hospitals today after consuming suspected poisonous illicit brew in Kubweye village, Migori County.

In a report sent to the media, Kuria West Sub County police commander Cleti Kimaiyo stated that the four people, including the brewer and seller, died after consuming poisonous illicit brew at the villager this morning.

Residents of the village, led by Patel Matiko Nyamohanga, said the four were rushed to Samjomen and Mabera hospitals, where some died while receiving treatment and others died upon arrival.

According to the residents, the four took illicit liquor late at night in the neighbourhood, and many of them began having difficulty breathing, poor vision, and difficulty speaking. They were rushed to hospitals in critical condition, where four died and eight others are still admitted fighting for their live.

Debra Marwa and Chacha Denis decried the police for their handling of the fight against illicit brew in Kuria West villages, blaming local administrators for the escalation of illicit liquor dens in the area.

They want the Government to take stern actions against sellers and brewers of the illicit liquor to help stamp out the vice that has caused many deaths in the villages.
Martin Mwita, a doctor at Samjomen hospital, stated that they received six patients, two of whom died at the facility, and the remaining four were referred to Migori County Referral Hospital for further treatment.

He stated that only two people died at the facility, while the other two are said to have died in a different hospital.

KAM Intent on Promoting Local Manufacturing Through Agriculture for Industry Initiative

Through its initiative Agriculture for Industry, the Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) seeks to support domestic manufacturing by using the agricultural industry to supply basic and secondary intermediate goods.

This programme emphasises the value of obtaining and producing materials domestically and is one of the main pillars of our Manufacturing 20by30 Plan.

“During our engagements in the central region, we had the privilege of visiting some of our members who are players in the agricultural sector. We explored Sangare, a dairy product manufacturer located in Nyeri, popular for their yoghurt. Currently, Sangare produces yoghurt in two delightful flavors: Vanilla and Strawberry,” said KAM.

“Their commitment to excellence has allowed them to establish a strong position within the agricultural sector value chain,” KAM acknowledged.

Kikwetu Flowers, which is based in Timau and is elevated at 2,400 metres above sea level, is the perfect place to grow roses of the highest calibre.

The farm specialises in cultivating an array of superb rose kinds, including the radiant Ever Red, a T-hybrid red variation, the elegant Athena, a medium white variety, and the wonderful Revival, a medium pink variety, among other lovely possibilities.

Agventure, a farmer-owned limited liability company, was founded in 2010 with the goal of assisting farmers in the development of more sustainable farming practises in non-irrigated cereal-based systems.

With member farms in Nakuru, Laikipia, Meru, and Isiolo counties, Agventure has expanded the understanding and use of rain-fed conservation agriculture over the past ten years, with early indications of increased land, water, and input usage efficiency.

Another well-known business that not only processes Mwea Pishori rice but also markets it is Baraka Rice Millers.

KAM claims that by working with nearby farmers who grow Mwea Pishori rice, this renowned rice miller contributes significantly to the value chain.

Baraka Rice Millers provides a reliable and superior supply of Mwea Pishori rice by collaborating closely with these farmers.

The ability to design and construct items that are helpful to society is made possible by the manufacturing industry. Without manufacturing, many people would be unable to obtain the goods and services they require.

In order for people to work and support their families, manufacturing also contributes to the creation of jobs.

Local production yields higher-quality goods. With local manufacturers, businesses may work more productively and produce work of a higher calibre.
