Just days after playing a pivotal role in Chelsea’s Club World Cup triumph, scoring two goals and assisting another in the final against Paris Saint-Germain, Cole Palmer’s personal life has become the subject of speculation.
The 23-year-old star and his influencer girlfriend, Connie Grace, have reportedly unfollowed each other on social media and removed all pictures of one another from their respective accounts, sparking rumors of a split.
The news comes as a surprise, especially after Grace had traveled to the US during the tournament, though she was notably absent from the on-pitch celebrations with other wives and girlfriends at the MetLife Stadium.
Palmer had recently expressed his anticipation of being reunited with Grace, mentioning a planned visit to St Kitts and Nevis, his ancestral Caribbean homeland, before their reunion.
Mail Sport exclusively accompanied Palmer on his first visit to St Kitts and Nevis, where he received a hero’s welcome, even holding a reception with the country’s prime minister. Meanwhile, Grace has been enjoying a holiday in Miami, posting pictures from the city on her Instagram.
Palmer and Grace, who met when they were 17 through mutual friends, went public with their relationship in November last year. Grace, a nail technician and Instagram influencer with 38,000 followers, also hails from Manchester. In March, she spoke about Palmer, stating, “Cole now is still the same Cole that I met when I was 17. Obviously, he’s changed, he’s grown up, and his life now is completely different, but he’s still the same boy, he’s still laid-back Cole.” She praised his adaptability and focus on football, saying, “He is only just bothered about scoring goals and doing well for his team, doing well for his country, and you’ve got to love him for that.”
Palmer is currently on his summer break following an impressive season where he guided Chelsea to the Europa Conference League title, scoring 18 goals and providing 14 assists across all competitions. Chelsea is set to begin their pre-season in less than three weeks against Erik Ten Hag’s Bayer Leverkusen, followed by a match against AC Milan, before commencing their Premier League campaign on August 17 against Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge.
