Health officials have confirmed a cholera outbreak at Muthurwa market in Nairobi County.
This comes after one person was diagnosed with the disease and was admitted to Mbagathi Hospital in Nairobi.
Patricia Mwangi, the public medical officer explained that they have so far had five cases in three weeks.
This issue prompted the ministry of health to start drug operations throughout the Muthurwa market, close restaurants that have not met the required hygiene standards and focus on water sanitation to ensure no more people will be infected.
