The National Assembly has sought public feedback on President William Ruto’s proposed list of Principal Secretaries.
The House Departmental Committees announced on Friday that it has scheduled approval hearings for nominees from Monday, November 14 to Friday, November 18.
Kenyans will thus have seven days to submit any objections they might have on the 51 nominated PSs.
The Departmental Committees have also invited the public to submit written statements on oath (affidavits) with supporting evidence on the suitability or otherwise of those nominated for the position of Principal Secretary ahead of the vetting exercise.
“The National Assembly hereby notifies the general public that its Departmental Committees will conduct approval hearings(vetting) for nominees for appointment to the position of Principal Secretary from Monday, 14th November 2022 to Friday 18th, November 2022 at venues within Parliament buildings starting from 9.am,” part of the NA Notice read.
It adds: “Representations maybe forwarded to the Clerk of the National Assembly, PO Box 41842-00100, Nairobi; hand-delivered to the Office of the Clerk, Parliament Building, Nairobi emailed to clerk.nationalassembly@parliament.go.ke; to be received on or before November 11 at 5.00 pm.”
