Sarah Odero, the wife of controversial preacher Ezekiel Odero, has encouraged New Life Church members to be patient while authorities probe their leader in connection with the Kilifi mass killings.
“I am here to inform you that we will not be holding prayer services at this church because it is important that we give the government adequate time to investigate the ongoing issues besieging churches that have been reported on social media and in the news.”
“However, it is not only about New Life Church but about many other churches.” “I encourage those on social media to keep praying hard,” she stated.
Sarah did not provide any further information on the pending inquiry.
Her husband was arrested on Thursday for having ties to Kilifi cult leader Paul Mackenzie, who is suspected of counselling his followers to starve to death in order to meet God.
Pastor Ezekiel was scheduled to hold an evangelistic crusade in Dodoma from Friday through Sunday.
