Pastoralist Leaders Urge Community To Rally Behind Ruto

    Leaders drawn from three pastoralist counties of Tana River, Isiolo, and Marsabit have called on the unity of residents and rallied them to support the Kenya Kwanza administration.

    Led by Marsabit Governor Mohamed Muhamud, the leaders of the TIM caucus who were fundraising in aid of women of Titila area in Galole constituency, Tana River County said that their unity will propel them to the national political negotiating table.

    Mr Muhamud said that the President William Ruto-led government had rewarded residents of the three counties despite them walking different political paths in the 2022 general election.

    The fundraiser was organized by Garsen MP Ali Wario and his Galole counterpart Said Hiribae and Sh. 7.8 million was raised in aid of various women groups.

    Mr Muhamud who is serving his second and final term as governor donated Sh. 2 million and he also brought President Ruto’s Sh. 1 million donation.

    The leaders said that residents had benefited from national government appointments in senior positions such as principal secretaries.
