Digital strategist and Jubilee Party affiliate Pauline Njoroge has broken her silence following public backlash over a widely circulated photo of her with Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, stating that she remains unapologetic about her political choices.
In a lengthy post published Monday, Pauline responded to critics who branded her a traitor and tribalist, asserting that her political loyalty is not dictated by personalities but by principle.
She affirmed her past support for ODM leader Raila Odinga in 2022, noting that her choice was rooted in belief in his leadership and vision—particularly regarding his African Union Commission (AUC) ambitions.
“For those who have followed this page over the past decade, you know how passionate I have been about the African Union… I began championing Baba’s AUC candidacy long before I was incorporated into his secretariat,” she said.
However, she distanced herself from the current administration, stating that although she briefly engaged with it, governance failures and ethical concerns compelled her to step away.
“My conscience simply couldn’t allow me to continue being part of that space,” she said.
Looking ahead, Njoroge declared her full support for Dr. Fred Matiang’i as her preferred presidential candidate for 2027, describing him as a leader capable of delivering “far more effective and progressive leadership” than what is currently in place.
She added that her engagement with opposition leaders such as Kalonzo Musyoka, Martha Karua, Eugene Wamalwa, and even Rigathi Gachagua is strategic and in pursuit of a better Kenya—not an endorsement of any particular camp.
“I will always follow my heart and stand by what I believe is right, unapologetically,” she concluded. “After all, Kenya is a democratic country.”
