Pedri scored off the bench as Barcelona extended their lead at the top of La Liga to six points with a narrow win over Girona.
The 20-year-old, who was making his 100th appearance for Barcelona in all competitions, tapped in from four yards after Jordi Alba’s cross was fumbled by Fulham loanee Paulo Gazzaniga.
Barcelona’s unbeaten streak in the league now stands at nine games.
They have 47 points, while Real Madrid, who has a game in hand, has 41.
Real Madrid hosts Real Sociedad at 20:00 GMT on Sunday.
Girona are 12th, four points clear of the relegation zone, despite having only two shots on goal late in normal time.
