Pentecost Day: Archbishop Kivuva Set To Lead Celebrations

Catholic faithful all over the world will celebrate Pentecost Sunday.

The solemn day marks 50 days after the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

It is also the day that disciples of Jesus Christ were filled with the Holy Spirit as they huddled in a room afraid of the Jews.

The day is celebrated as the Birthday of the Church. It was after Jesus empowered them with the Holy Spirit that Christianity began.

Mombasa Archbishop Martin Kivuva Musonde, who is the Chairman of KCCB will lead a service to commemorate the day in Mombasa.
