Pep Guardiola admits Manchester City May Not replace Sergio Aguero

Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, says the club is unlikely to buy a striker this summer to replace Sergio Aguero.

City announced earlier this seek that striker Aguero, who has scored 257 goals for the club, will leave after his contract expires at the end of the season.

City have been linked with Erling Haaland, Harry Kane and Kylian Mbappe but Guardiola is not sure such targets are realistic.

Dortmund are reported to want at least 150m euros for Norway international Haaland, whose agent Mino Raiola has met with Barcelona and Real Madrid about a move.

England captain Harry Kane’s Tottenham contract does not expire until 2024.

Guardiola has not reported any fresh injuries ahead of his quadruple-chasing side’s trip to Leicester but not all players have rejoined the squad after international duty.

City’s transfer record remains the £65m they paid to sign Riyad Mahrez from Leicester.
