A light aircraft, Cessna 152, registration number 5Y-PSJ / 15283169, operated by an aviation school based in Nairobi crashed into the Nairobi National Park on Thursday, September 19.
The incident is reported to have occurred minutes past noon.
Preliminary reports indicate that a pilot and a trainee student were operating the aircraft at the time of the accident.
The two occupants sustained injuries and received first aid treatment on sight from emergency response teams at the park.
Investigations have been launched into the cause of the accident. At the time of publication, no information was available on what caused the light aircraft to crash.
Civil aviation authorities are yet to issue a statement on the accident.
