National Police Service officers in West Pokot have arrested a 20-year-old man over handling of illegal ammunition.
NPS officers recovered the ammunition at around 4 pm on May 24, 2023, at the Amakuriat Trading Centre.
The officers posing as buyers seized the 200 rounds of 7.62×39mm Special from the unsuspecting seller identified as Pius Lorupemoi.
According to the investigation, the weapons were destined for the West Pokot-Turkana border.
