Officers from the National Police Service stationed at Lolgorian Police Station have arrested a suspect and recovered a significant quantity of illicit alcohol and narcotics following a tip-off from the public.
The suspect was apprehended in Ololtingual Village and is currently in police custody, pending processing and arraignment in court.
Authorities confiscated 70 litres of Chang’aa, a locally brewed illicit spirit, along with an unspecified quantity of narcotics.
The seized items are being held at the police station as evidence.
The National Police Service emphasized its continued commitment to tackling the distribution and consumption of illicit alcohol and narcotics, urging members of the public to report suspicious activities.
The arrest underscores ongoing efforts by law enforcement to curb criminal activities associated with illegal brews and drugs, which pose serious health and security risks to local communities.
