Police Arrest Suspect With Narcotics in Bungoma Drug Crackdown

Police in Tongaren Sub-County have arrested a suspect found in possession of narcotics during a targeted operation in Misanga Village, following a public tip-off.

Officers from Brigadier Police Station carried out the Sunday afternoon raid, which led to the seizure of 64 brooms of cannabis (bhang).

The suspect was taken into custody and is currently awaiting arraignment, while the recovered drugs have been secured as evidence.

The National Police Service has praised the swift response by officers and reaffirmed its dedication to the ongoing fight against illicit drug trafficking in Bungoma and other parts of the country.

Authorities continue to urge members of the public to support the crackdown by sharing timely information and reporting suspicious activity in their communities.
