Police Asks Kenyans To Go Back To Work

The National Police Service on Thursday called out on Kenyans to go back to work and build the nation even as tallying gets underway.

Most sections of the country are currently counting and tallying votes, and no major problems have been reported.

Turudi kazi, tujenge nchi (let’s go back to work to build our nation). It is now time to embark on other productive activities in building the Nation as vote tallying continues,” NPS said

NPS commended Kenyans for their cooperation during this electioneering period.

“We commend the public for supporting our efforts in securing a peaceful, free and fair election,” NPS added.

IEBC has also called on Kenyans to maintain peace and calmness.

“We are a peaceful and prosperous Kenya. We are diverse but we are one Kenya. Together we are destined for greatness,” IEBC said.

Be patient and wait for official results from the National Tallying Centre, IEBC added.

To reduce tension and worry in the country, the IEBC also asked Kenyans to verify election information before spreading it.
