Two police officers were injured by villagers while trying to arrest a wanted villager in Kesses, Uasin Gishu.
Police said they had gone to arrest a wanted suspect Edwin Some in Cheptiret town when the incident happened.
The suspect raised alarm alerting villagers who stoned the officers.
The officers fired to the air to enable them escape the attack as the suspect escaped.
