More police officers have been sent to Tiaty area, Baringo County where eight people were killed at the weekend in a bandit attack.
Among those killed were four assailants. The attackers managed to escape with unknown number of animals in the attack.
Rift Valley Regional Commissioner Mohammed Maalim has assured residents of their security and added that planned peace meetings and intensified patrols will be enhanced to resolve the conflict.
Three other people who were injured and are from the aggressors’ side are under interrogation.
Elsewhere in Baringo South an Inspector of Police is nursing gun shot injuries after he was shot by suspected bandits who attacked Nosukuro Camp.
