Two suspected thugs were Wednesday night shot dead in a botched robbery incident in Kayole area, Nairobi.
Police and witnesses say the men were in the company of two others and had been attacking and robbing pedestrians when an alarm was raised alerting police on patrol.
The officers shot and killed the two while the other accomplices managed to escape on foot.
A man who had been stabbed during the robbery was rushed to the hospital and attended in stable condition while the bodies were moved to the mortuary.
