Police Impostor Arrested by DCI in Imenti North

Law enforcement officers in Meru have arrested a man suspected of repeatedly impersonating police officers and harassing members of the public in Imenti North Sub-County.

The suspect, identified as Lucky Mwenda, was apprehended following tip-offs from residents who alerted authorities to his movements.

Officers moved in and arrested him while he was riding a motorcycle without registration plates, believed to have been used as a getaway bike.

A search conducted at the time of arrest led to the recovery of several items, including a military-style jacket, knee pad, hat, a camel bag, and a dagger, all of which were seized as exhibits.

Mwenda is currently in police custody as investigations continue, with authorities preparing to arraign him in court.
