A suspect in a robbery with violence incident was shot dead Friday night in Kawangware, as police increased their crackdown on criminals.
At around 9 p.m., the suspect had just confronted a man on his way home.
The cops on patrol near Kabiru Road were drawn to the man’s desperation screams.
As the officers raced to the victim’s rescue, the thugs opened fire, forcing them to flee for their lives as they prepared to retaliate.
The police responded with a deafening hail of fire, giving the thugs a taste of their own medicine and mortally wounding one of them.
The fallen thug was found holding a pistol loaded with three 9mm bullets. Meanwhile, a manhunt for the two remaining criminals is underway.
