A day after President Uhuru Kenyatta launched a digital land management system, residents of Ngei 2 in Langata got a rude shock as grabbers descended on their estate.
The crooks assaulted shocked residents who had united to resist a move to grab the playground.
It is alleged that a top politician is behind the land grabbing to pave way for illegal residential flats.
The residents have vowed to fight to the end to ensure the play ground remains intact.
The matter has been reported to Langata Police Station who promised swift investigations into the ordeal.
The incident comes shortly after a land registry clean up exercise saw the government launch a digital land register to assist Kenyans in processing land without corruption.
