Police Launch Manhunt For Kimilili Heist Goons

Police officers have begun a manhunt for robbers who intercepted a transit vehicle ferrying Ksh. 25 Million in Kimilili, Bungoma county.

The officers were transporting the cash in the Uhirika bank vehicle when they were raided by the thugs, who shot at them before fleeing with the cash.

“Sergeant Boniface Hamisi was wounded in the thigh on both legs, while Apc Joseph Lomulen was shot in the right knee.”

According to a police report, “the Ushirika Bank manager Kennedy Khalakai was shot on the left side of the stomach and the bullet is still lodged in.”

The trio was brought to Kimilili Sub County Hospital for first assistance before being transferred to Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Eldoret, where they are in stable condition.
