Police in Kuria West, Migori County, have launched investigations into the death of an unknown minor aged between 3 and 4 years whose body was found floating in Ntunyigi dam.
Kuria West sub-county Police Commander Cleti Kimaiyo confirmed the incident saying the body was discovered by one of the locals who had gone to the dam on Saturday morning.
The police say they suspect that the unknown child was killed elsewhere and the body dumped in the dam.
Mr. Kimaiyo noted that the boy had multiple injuries on the body, which indicated that he was most likely murdered.
He said the deceased had injuries on the chest and that the tongue was protruding.
