Police Nab County Askari In Kondele Violence

On Monday, November 15, police officers arrested the first arrest in connection with the stoning of Deputy President William Ruto’s vehicle in Kisumu City.

Detectives apprehended Wilson Aminda, a Kisumu County Government employee, accused of organizing a mob against Ruto in Kondele.

The arrest came just days after the police were chastised by the DP for not doing their jobs correctly.

Ruto expressed his disgust with investigators after Police spokesman Bruno Shioso said the violence stemmed from an internal disagreement.

Ruto, who was in Nyanza for a three-day tour, was forced to cancel yet another rally, this time in Migori, as the crowd became unruly.

The youngsters who did not want to hear from the area governor, Okoth Obado, screamed anti-Obado chants.

They then got into a physical altercation, which forced the meeting to be postponed.

Members of the Migori Matatu Owners Association asked on Monday that an area member of parliament return their Ksh500,000 that Ruto had given them during his visit to the county.
