Police, NTSA Launch Christmas Crackdown

Police and National Transport and Safety Authority plan a countrywide operation on the roads ahead of the festive season.

This will among others help tame rising cases of road accidents in the country.

Officials say the trend has been worrying hence need to carry the operation. Inspector General of police Hilary Mutyambai and NTSA boss George Njao meet this morning to plan the operation and later announce the way forward.

On Saturday students of Chogoria Girls were among four people who were killed in a road crash along Muranga- Sagana road.

The students were headed home from school when their matatu collided with a lorry.
