A police officer based in Ramasha police station was on Monday, 20th June, arrested for murder contrary to the law.
Vincent Langat was arrested following an investigation by IPOA in Ramasha police station, Masaba South Subcounty, which recommended the officer’s arrest.
According to the IPOA report, Charles Onditi Omwancha was assaulted on February 19, 2019 at Ramasha trading center in Kisii County, and later succumbed to his injuries on March 1, 2019.
The officer was escorted to Kisii police station and will appear in Kisii high court on June 21.
