Police Rescue KWS Officer from Armed Robbers in Kinoo, Kiambu County

Police officers on patrol in Kinoo, Kiambu County, have rescued a Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) officer from a gang of suspected armed robbers following a swift response to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the early hours of Monday morning.

According to police reports, the officers approached the vehicle, prompting its occupants to attempt an escape. After a brief chase, two suspects were arrested.

Upon searching the vehicle, police discovered a man tied up and blindfolded in the boot, who was later identified as a KWS officer travelling to Nairobi.

The victim told police that the assailants had stolen money from his mobile wallet and had been robbing passengers along the route. Several stolen mobile phones were recovered from the suspects during the operation.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing, and police have launched further operations to track down additional suspects who managed to flee the scene.

Authorities commended the swift response of the patrol officers, crediting their vigilance with saving the victim and preventing further attacks.
