Police in Nyahururu, Laikipia County, have arrested a suspect and seized 15 litres of chang’aa in a renewed crackdown on illicit brews.
The operation, carried out on September 17, 2025, followed a tip-off from members of the public. Officers from Nyahururu Police Station swiftly acted on the information, arresting the suspect and recovering the illicit alcohol.
Police confirmed that the suspect was escorted to the station for processing and will be arraigned in court.
The seized 15 litres of chang’aa were secured as exhibits to support the case.
Authorities thanked the public for their continued cooperation and urged residents to remain vigilant and report any illegal alcohol production or distribution in their communities.
