Police Units Mobilized Ahead Of Naivasha Rally Weekend

Security has been beefed up in and around the WRC circuit ahead of the historical rally event.

Inspector General of Police Hilary Mutyambai said regular police and other formations have been deployed before, during and after the international event.

“Security has been beefed up. Logistics are completed and we are ready for the show piece”, Mutyambai said.

In the interview aired by the state broadcaster KBC, Mutyambai revealed several units will be organized to ensure the event is a success.

Elite police units such as the GSU, the anti stock theft unit and administration police have been deployed to secure the drivers and Kenyans alike.

The event will be held on Kenyan soil for the first time in 19 years.

It is expected to attract major crowds due to its International stature.

State House Chief of Staff Nzioka Waita will captain Team Kenya in the show case event, scheduled to break many records.
