BY FAITH MUTETE – Following the tragic incident that left eight pupils and sixty-four injured, the police have arrested the Precious Talent School owner, Moses Wainaina.
According to education cabinet secretary George Magoha the school was registered to have only 340 learners but the owner had admitted more than 800.
After visiting the school early this week the CS said that the classes were in perfect condition if they had been left to only be a one storey building and said that because of the added storey, that was added on a temporary building without authorization, the accident happened.
The students of the school were authorized to stay at home until the investigations were over and the government also directed the pupils to be transferred to the surrounding Gong Forest Primary School, Jamhuri Primary School, and Riruta Satellite Primary School.
In the process, other schools that have not met the required standards have also been shut down.
