Burnley v Leicester City
Kelechi Iheanacho scored his second Premier League goal of the season while Wilfred Ndidi provided an assist in Leicester City’s 1-1 draw against Burnley in Wednesday’s Premier League game. Kasper Schmeichel was the man of the match for Leicester City after putting in an exceptional performance.
Rodgers’ player are already without James Maddison, Dennis Praet, James Justin, Wes Morgan and Ayoze Perez, they played Burnley without Harvey Barnes and Jonny Evans who siffered injuries against Arsenal on Sunday.
Burnley began well but were prevented by a superb Schmeichel, while Leicester were unable to find a way past the ever reliable Nick Pope. Both sides could have added another goal after the break but they both hit the post as the game ended in a draw.
Burnley are at 15th Place, six clear of the bottom three, having drawn three of their last four Premier League outings. Leicester have now won most away points in the Premier League (31).
Sheffield United v Aston Villa

David McGoldrick’s first half goal gave bottom side Sheffield a 1-0 home win over Aston Villa. They took the lead on the half hour mark when McGoldrick timed his run perfectly, at the far post and bundled homr George Baldock’s shot.
The home side led at half-time despite Villa’s dominance, when McGoldrick turned home George Baldock’s skewed shot for his sixth league goal of the season.
The Blades showed there is fight left in them while battling with 10 men, after Jagielka was sent off after 55 minutes. The referee booked the 38-year-old defender for his foul on El Ghazi, but after VAR intervened, overturned his decision and adjudged that Jagielka had denied a clear goalscoring opportunity.
“Any result for Sheffield United in this division is huge, and I won’t underestimate that, we took a lot of big moments last year, and we took one tonight.” said Wilder.
Aston Villa had plenty of possession but are now 9th placed on the Premier League table with 39 points. The manager, Dean Smith, felt that his team should have done more against 10 men, after their hopes for European football next season were dealt with defeat at Bramall Lane.
Crystal Palace v Man United
Manchester United are stumbling their way toward Champions League qualification. United has completely lost its attacking spark, with a 0-0 draw at Crystal Palace, making it three straight goalless stalemates in all competitions.
United remain second having won just five of their last 16 league games combined. It feels like they are putting themselves at risk of falling out of the top four, giving their top four rivals a big opportunity: West Ham, Chelsea, Liverpool and Everton all within eight points of United, with games in hand.
Solskjaer noted that the home team made it tough for his own side to play, but a lack of tempo and creativity about United’s often sloppy play was ultimately the biggest contributor to a game in which they had just a single shot on target.
They were top of the league in January but they have only won two of their last eight Premier League games. They fall at 14 points behind Manchester City, who they face at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
