President-Elect Ruto Set To Meet Kenya Kwanza Leaders

A regional meeting for all county Assembly members will be held at a later date.

President-elect Dr. William Ruto and his Deputy Rigathi Gachagua are scheduled to meet with all elected leaders from the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) and Kenya Kwanza in the recently concluded August General Elections.

According to a statement by UDA Secretary General Veronica Maina, the two will first meet Kenya Kwanza coalition elected Governors, Senators, and Women Representatives on Wednesday at 9.00 a.m. in Karen.

“This Caucus will be convened at the Deputy President’s residence on Wednesday 17th August 2022 at 9:00 AM,” said Maina.

A regional meeting for all county Assembly members will be held at a later date.

In a closely contested race, the outgoing Deputy President was declared the winner, defeating his closest rival Raila Amollo Odinga.

UDA is poised to take control of the Senate after winning a majority of seats across the country, with 24 senators compared to 23 for Azimio La Umoja One Kenya under Raila Odinga’s leadership.
