President William Ruto has appointed former Cherangany Member of Parliament Joshua Kutuny to chair the Kenya Copyright Board.
Kutuny will hold the position for three years, beginning on October 27, 2023.
“In exercise of the powers conferred by section 6 (1) (a) of the Copyright Act. 2001. 1. William Samoei Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces, appointed— Joshua Kutuny to be the Chairperson of the Kenya Copyright Board, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from the 27th October, 2023,” reads a Gazette Notice dated October 26, 2023.
Kutuny lost his seat in the 2022 elections which he sought on a Jubilee party ticket that is under the Azimio La Umoja to incumbent Cherangany MP Wesly Korir.
