CS Kagwe bought the bull for Ksh600,000 after a competitive bidding process against Agriculture Principal Secretary Kipronoh Ronoh.

This comes a month after President Ruto bought a bull for Ksh 1 million at the Mombasa International Agriculture Society of Kenya (ASK) Show livestock auction.
Ruto emerged victorious in a heated bidding war for the three-year-old Chianina bull weighing 885 kilograms, imported from South Africa.
The bid was initiated by Senate Speaker Amason Kingi at Ksh300,000, with President Ruto immediately raising the stakes to Ksh400,000.
Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad Nassir pushed the price to Ksh500,000, prompting Kingi to counter with Ksh550,000.
Governor Nassir responded with a Ksh600,000 bid before President Ruto escalated the competition with a Ksh700,000 offer.
Following brief consultations between leaders, a final bid of Ksh1 million was announced, and President Ruto secured the bull.
