President William Ruto today officially inaugurated the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) Narok Campus, reinforcing the government’s commitment to expanding human resources for health as a cornerstone of Universal Health Coverage (UHC).
The campus, established through collaboration between KMTC and the County Government of Narok, features modern learning facilities including classrooms, laboratories, a library, and hostels.

Since welcoming its first cohort in March 2024, the campus has grown steadily, offering training in key health disciplines such as Nursing, Clinical Medicine, Health Records, and Health Care Assistance.
President Ruto lauded the institution’s progress and assured continued government support to build its capacity in producing competent healthcare professionals for deployment nationwide.

Principal Secretary for Public Health and Professional Standards, Ms. Mary Muthoni, joined the Head of State during the launch, underscoring the Ministry of Health’s commitment to scaling up health workforce development across the country.
